I cleared SCWCD 1.4 with 89% . My preparation starategy goes like this .... Started with HFS (read each n every line n prepared notes wih all new points). this notes helped me for final revision. Studied dumps available at http://www.geocities.com/puneetind2002/scwcd/ and all online tutorials like java.boot.by , Whizlabs tutorial and so on Started attending the mock exams available in net. Concentrated more on Javaranch, J2EECertificate and JDiscuss mocks. Also attended podar.net, jpilottest, JWebPlus (trial) and Whizlabs (trial). Finally attended all chapter mocks and final mock exam in HFS. Got 67 % in final mock. Analyzed the wrong ones and then brushed up with my notes once again Attended the exam on Apr 2nd (62 out of 69 was correct). Design Patterns related questions were relatively tough.
All the best to all buddies preparing for the exam and special thanks to Hasan who had consolidate all the documents and provided all possible links available in net.
Congrats!! Gr8 job done.. Did you ever look into the Specs or the API. HFS does not seem to fully cover all the topics like it does not talk about "<jsp:invoke ../>" and ".tagx extension for tag files" in the chapter on "custom tag development". However the questions in the end of chapter have these!!
Congrats again!! Charanjit
