On last days of preparation, in mock exams I am doing wrong many questions coming from DTDs (web.xml and *.tld), and APIs.

Questions like...

Do I know servletcontext can be taken from not only servlet/config but also from session?

Do I know I can not specify <description> element inside security-constraint???

Do I know what all places i can specify <display-name> element???

Do I know <distributable>true</distributable> is invalid, you just need to mention <distributable/> !!!

I am literally worrying a lot and wondering how do I remember/learn/mugup so much in my mind!!!

Tuesday is my exam! Any tip for above kind of questions please?

Hello Anand

I don't think even SUN would expect you to mug up such trivias. Obviously, they are all over the mock exams. From my experience I can say that, they expect you to know the CORE concepts of the servlet, JSP and JSTL API and how to program in conformance to it when you are woken up at 3 AM.
The DD, as much as it is important to pass this exam, the exam itself MAY not test you on the descriptor elements of various tags.

DO NOT forget you resource-ref and env-entry tags. Design Patterns are not as EASY as most of the BOOKS and MOCKS have it.

Go through your coffee crams once again. (Reason in the right answers and reason out the wrong ones). You'll be thankful you did that.

Go CRACK it man!

How the hell would I know that getRealPath does not throw IllegalArgumentException... see the question below:

Which statements are correct?

1) Only ServletContext interface has method getRealPath
2) Answer 1 is incorrect because also HttpServletRequest has getRealPath method
3) Method getRealPath throws an IllegalArgumentException if it can't convert the argument to a local filesystem path
4) Method getPathInfo never returns null

And adding to that, answer is 2), not 1) because even deprecated method is valued!

Which statements are correct about character enconding methods? (Very difficult question for me)

1) ServletRequest has setCharacterEncoding method
2) ServletRequest has getCharacterEncoding method
3) ServletResponse has getCharacterEncoding method
4) ServletResponse has setCharacterEncoding method

Guess what's the answer... all 4 are correct!
