starting SCWCD preparation. pls help

Hi Ranchers

I cleared SCJP an year back and now want to clear SCWCD 1.4. It takes a week before I get HF book in my hand.

someone please recommend any other resources to start with?

Download and install Tomcat 5.0 (using J2SE 1.4, JSP2.0 and Servlet 2.4) at
http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/index.html
Config it well, check / study the examples inside tomcat.

This is good for starting(note: HFB contains examples using Tomcat 5.0).

I don't think HFS its available for download.

I asked a friend to bring it in as im not in india now.

As far as my knoledge goes, head first books are not coming with soft copy nor they are sold online.

I'm talking about hard copy.

Are you in US? Which state? Did you try public libraries? I am in ILLINOIS and I got HFSJ book in Northbrook public library, at least for three weeks you would the book, and eventully you might be able to renew it also. No need to buy and bring from India.

Thaks for the pointer. No, I'm not in US. I'm in singapore.

I haven't tried but I think its possible to get HFSJ in public library. Anyways this is the only Head first book missing in my library and I wish to have a copy of my own :-)

i saw a book named : Core Servlets and JSP volume 1,Core teachnology by marty hall, larry brown. 2nd edition.prentice hall.PTR.

above book good for basic knowledge about Servlet and JSP or not? also related to SCWCD right???

i was going to buy HFSJ today, but the one i saw no plastic cover, and it is a public open book for review i guess. counter service said no more, left last one. i was like, what the heck....this bookstore so big, only one HFSJ copy? lol. i dont want to spend my $ RM 150 to buy the book which everyone touch b4. i rather go to other bookstore to buy. haiz...waste my energy to come to that bookstore (it is the famous bookstore in KLCC, KL, MALAYSIA, named Kinoyuniya.)

anyone could help?
