From Head First Servlets & JSP

" The client could open a new browser window , So the Container still use the same session for a client , even though it's coming from different instance of the browser. "

I am not able to understand what exactly "SESSION" means .

Any explanation is appreciated.

Open a browser. Do CTRL-N.Both the browser windows will return the same cookie for session handling.

"nagraj3", it appears you have changed your display name from "nag reddy".

Your previous display name was valid, this one is not. Please change it back immediately or your account may be deleted, possibly without warning

thanks,
Dave.
