i know the differance httpservlets are useful to http protocols, but generic servlets are useful to any type of protocol, why, httpsevlet is extended to genericservlet.. so, httpservlet is child, so it must get all properties from generic..why to only http protocols

Could you rephrase your question with more clarity ?

From what i can gather from your question, Generic Servlets are applicable for any protocol, so they have all the common attributes applicable for all types of servlets.

HTTPServlets extend Generic servlets and add the http specific attributes to it. Similarly any other protocol servlet can extend Generic Servlet and add its own protocol specific things to it. HTH.
