I am considering SCWCD (well, hmmm.....yeah. I am!!!), however I have got my SCJP back in 2002, am I still eligible for SCWCD? Apparently Sun has removed the SCWCD objectives link from where it was (as mentioned in FAQs). Also, I am using Velocity with struts now, not much in touch with JSP, those tag libraries and all. How exhaustively new exam covers it? Does it include struts as well? Or dos it make more sense for me to go for SCEA now? TIA, - Manish

Any SCJP is ok I think - but the exam is J2EE 1.4 It doesn't cover struts per-say but you need to know the front controller pattern. JSP forms a large part of the exam - JSTL tags, el, custom tags and scriptlets, also XML compliant JSP pages

Manish, I did my exam today (successful). Be sure to study JSTL tags and EL. I had not many questions about the servlet API, a lot about Tags : classic tags, simple tags and tag files... I used the book from Manning (new edition), but i found a lot of errors in it and i got 5 or 6 questions about the web-xml that were not even mentioned in the book. So if you are using that one, be sure to study Web.xml and El's more using sources on the web. Good luck, Chris.

But, does it make sense to go for SCWCD now? Anu other inputs from those who have done it? - Manish

I think I will do SCEA cert, but I want to complete SCBCD first, since the cert outline states that it assumes you have done SCWCD and SCBCD - well it used to say that anyway...
