I'm preparing the SCWCD 1.4 exam and i'm studying on Manning's Exam Study kit (secone edition). I've red that the book is not a very good study guide because many subjects are missed or explained not deeply. Does anyone know this book and does someone tell me if fulfilling with the jsp specification can be enough to pass the exam? I've a good experience in web developing (more on servlets but a little less on jsp)

Thank you.

I would not rely on that book as the only source for certification preparation. The original edition was a very good source for the old SCWCD 1.3 certification. Unfortunately the second edition's "upgrade" to SCWCD 1.4 is somewhat incomplete as some information still reflects Servlet 2.3/JSP 1.2 rather than the required Servlet 2.4/JSP 2.0. See here.

I was able to make it work, as I planned to work through HF Servlets & JSP anyway and because I spent some time cross-referencing the Servlet 2.4 Spec, JSP 2.0 Spec and the Standard Tag Library Spec.
