This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Since no one else seems to have complained about it I must be the only one who doesn't have a 17" monitor. But the columns of text in your articles and newsletters are way too wide to be able to read it without scrolling back and forth. Fortunately the text in the forums are just the right size, but the only way I can read the articles is to copy and paste the text in a word processor and print it from there, (a real pain in the ass).
I agree with you that it is very annoying to have that horizontal scroll bar. I run into this problem fairly frequently when I access JavaRanch from the library.
It has more to do with the screen resolution than anything else. 800 x 600 isn't quite wide enough for all the graphics to fit on the screen. The tables are as wide as the graphics because you can't wrap a graphic.
We'll work on it and see what we can come up with.

I have noticed more and more web sites with a "printer friendly" icon. That wouldn't help me in reading your articles but at least it would help if I wanted to print them.
