Hi All,

I have started preparing for SCWCD1.4. And to start with I ordered two books from Amazon, but by mistake i have ordered for SCWCD study kit Edition 1 instead of Edition 2 . Now will this be of help to me ?? btw, I have HFSJ and I am planning to use this as a primary one and all the specifications to refer to.

Any suggestions welcome.

I've got both editions of Study Kit and although I was reading the 2nd, there is a CD in the 1st edition which contains 3 pretty good mock exams. The mock exam which you can download for the 2nd edition is very limited.

I also have the HFSJ book so I was comparing the books while preparing. My conclusion is that HF is much more precise, and although it doesn't cover some of the technical details which are covered in the Kit, I didn't have any of those details on the exam. However, there were details on the exam which are not covered in any of the books. So reading specs might be also useful.

The Kit contains a good condenced "Exam quick prep" in the end, I hoped to read it on the last day on my preparation, because HF doesn't have any condenced review like this. But in reality I was so tired on the last day of preparation that I just couldn't force myself to drill through that condenced material in the Kit and ended up browsing through the HFSJ looking for "watch it", bulets and other features like these.
