Can anyone tell me the default <body-content> for tags if nothing is mentioned in the TLD.
I know it is scriptless for tagfiles.

For the old custom tags it is JSP. For Simple tags assummed scriptless.

Do classic tags have a default value ? Thought we need to specify them explicitly.

Yes, the default for classic tags is JSP, check it in specs.
