i tried to download the apache tomcat latest version from it website, but i m not able to
carry it home...nether in a USB pen drive or a CD drive... what could be the problem ??

besides this i downloaded eclipse and sun studio creator too.but i m facing the same problem
pleas help me out

again i downloaded this 'reference/docs'api's -

jsp 2.0 specification (pdf)
jsp stl version 1 (pdf)
jsp stl version 1.1 (pdf)
servlet 2.4 specification (pdf)

what else do i need to download. i know there r links in th WCD section of
the javarcanch website, but please tell me specifically which api's/documentation
are needed (if any)

dont we have any html api's for jsp/servlet.....the one we refer when we
prepare for scjp??? is whatever i downloaded OK ???

also my other questions are

1.what is 'web/application server' and 'stand alone server' ?
2.what is a plug in ?
3.where do i write my jsp[/servelt codes ? i used JCreator while preparing for scjp.

Please CarefullyChooseOneForum for your questions. I've just deleted many copies of this from other forums, leaving this one in the relevant forum.

Now, there are many questions here, and the major one isn't very clear. Are you saying that you don't know how to take files home after downloading them, or that you don't know how to burn CDs, or that you're doing something or other and getting errors of some kind? Is downloading files (somewhere, which you haven't described!) and then taking them home something that you've ever done before? What are you doing differently this time?

And regarding the HTML documentation: are you saying that you managed to pass SCJP at 95%, and yet don't know how to type "jsp servlet API" into Google?
