hi all, this is where i m @ present - --have Tomcat 5.x installed and running on my PC --have downloaded the spces for srvelet and jstl api (all pdf files) --have purchased the Marty Hall and Larry Borwn book and have read the first chapter from it ! --in the local market i saw these books 1. David Bridge water 2. K&B HSFJ 3. Hanumant Deshmukh & Dinesh Malvia What i was plannig - TO READ THE "Mart Hall & Larry Brown's" AND GET TO A "NOVICE" level... AND THEN USE ANY 1 of the ABOVE 3 CERTIFICATION BOOKS BUT what i want to ask is - "WITH ZERO KNOWLEDGE ON WCD TOPICS, WILL IT BE FINE IF I DIRECTLY TAKE THE K&b BOOK IN HAND....STUDY IT 'RELIGIOUSY' 3-4 TIMES AND THEN GIVE THE EXAM ??? " "WIL DIRECTLY STUDYING THE K&b BOOK MAKE ME CONVERSANT WITH THE WCD TOPICS AND CONFIDENT ENOUGH FOR THE EXAM ? ? " i want to strike a balnce between "knowing the WCD topics" and "getting gerd up for the exam". In other words, i want to know the TECHNOLOGY as well as do the CRAMMING for the exam !!! please help me thanks in advance !!

I believe this should work. Between each reading, I recommend finding online tutorials on the more difficult topics to help you understand them better.

hi I am considering the Head first book. Does it take care of the new 310-081 exam? Thanks for your reply. [ February 14, 2006: Message edited by: Srividhya Anand ]

Hi Niranjan, My position is similiar to yours? Did you get to find out if HFSJ helps someone entirely new to Servelets and JSP? I currently have Marty Hall, but Iam confused since Iam new to not only Servlets and JSP but also to web applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
