whats a plugin ??? PLease help !!!

hi all...

i have installed tomcat and studio creator and eclips on my machine

but do i need any PLUGIN to write code in eclips/sun crestor and run it directly on to the tomcat

whats basically a plugin ??? is it anything that u need to BRIDGE the gap between eclipse as editor for servlets and Tomcat as a running envrionment for serflets ???

please let know. please give me any good site on downloading plugin

There would be clear instructions on how to install tomcat plugin to eclipse. It should not be a problem.
