Hi Everyone ,

I am planning to take the SCWCD exam on the 13 th of March(just three more days to go for it} . I was very confident of doing very well in the exam until i took my final mock exam. I performed very badly in that exam scoring a miserable 65%( just 45/69 correct) . My confidence has got dented severely due to that.

I have just read HFSJ and have skimmed across the BridgeWater book. Am planning to revise HFSJ one more time and then take the exam. I have not had the time to read the specs. Is it absolutely mandatory to have read the specs to get a good score ? Any advice from people who have already taekn scwcde would be of great help.

Wish u a very good luck for the exam.

I cleared scwcd with 85% just 2 days back . Same case with me too, had no time to go through specs , may be it was my luck that i was not affected much by that.

I too had got just 40/69 in the final mock test in HFSJ but found the real exam 2 times easier than the mock exam.
Do not forget to go through all the "bangs" and if time permits u can go through so called dumb questions given in the HFSJ.
I found 5 to 6 drag and drop questions and some tricky questions from EL.

Once again wish u all the very best.

I am testing on Monday as well. I am taking the HFSJ mock this evening and will reschedule my Monday exam if I bomb it. Good luck!

I think giving more mock exams on net really helps to get good score.Feeling of reading whole book and understanding is different from facing mock exam questions. It happened with me for SCJP ,scored 62% on first mock, which made me to revise and give more mock exams....Final score was 85% . Good luck.

I got a 61% on the final mock taking it relatively cold. I was guilty of not reading some questions fully too so I am planning on cramming for the next couple of days and I am not rescheduling. Wish me luck! Georgy too!

I am also planning to appear for SCWCD on Monday(13th March)

I have read the book completely but have not had the time to go through the spex.

I have been doing mock exams online, mostly, JDiscuss(test 4) and have been getting between 65 and 85.

I am planning to give the final mock exam from HFSJ on sat morning lets see how it goes, I hope the +20% holds true.

Best of Luck to U all, loox like Monday's the day for all of us, All the best.

Seems Monday is the day when most of u are taking up ur exams.
Hopefully three more web component developers will be added on that day . Wish u all the best Patrick and Liyaquat Ali !

I am not planning to read the specs. Am in the process of reading bridgewater book now. am also taking up the mock exam questions given in that book. the questions there seem to be at a much higher level than the level of testing in kathy sierra(atleast thats how i find it) . Am planning to revise kathy sierra for one last time tomorrow and on Sunday.

Once again wish u all the very best patrick n Liyaquat

Hi georgy,Patrick and Liyaquat best of luck for your exams
One small advice from my end is that during the exam keep yourself cool as there will be ample time for you guys to crack the questions
and regarding last minute cramming, just revise what you have read till now
and be relaxed
Once again all the best for all of you

I think that MZ's SCWCD guide is a good version of "Cliff's notes" for those who want to review the specs but don't feel that they have time.
