<jsp:useBean ..>
<jsp:include ..>
<jsp:forward ..>
<jsp aram ..>

are there other jsp tag actions that can be used with expression values such as "<%= %> or ${}" ?

Hi,

The <jsp:getProperty> does not use any request time expressions in its attributes.

Thanks

Hi,

Yup <jsp:setProperty> iss fine, but <jsp:getProperty> is not supposed to work with expressions values such as <%=%> and ${} as Narandra told us.

Tks.

Hi,

and what about <jsp:attribute> standart action element?

I Didnt find anything about in JSP spec. (JSP 1.14.1 - page 1-59).

Tks.

Hi Felipe,

Concerning <jsp:attribute>, you can use EL/scripting only if the attribute of the enclosing tag (for which you are setting a value with this jsp:attribute) has rtexprvalue set to true.

There is a section about <jsp:attribute> in the jsp specs (JSP.5.10)

Thanks for your question, this make us studying harder

Hi Gab,

Something like this right?

<tag>
blabl....
<attribute>
<name>itsAttrb</name>
<required>true/false<required>
<rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
</sattribute>
</tag>
