Doubt in Filters ????

This statement -
Filters support an initialization mechanism that includes an init() method that is guaranteed to be called before the filter is used to handle requests .

HFSJ say that this statment is not true?? Why??

Ummm... page 703, question 5, option D... HFSJ says the statement is true. Why are you claiming that HFSJ says it is not true, Jayashree?

In the HFSJ book that I have, its says that, this statement is not true.

You need to take a look at the "errata"!

This question is correct.

"public void init(FilterConfig fc){}"
