Yes, i have just glanced through the said book, and it does have the same style of K&B's book for SCJP 1.4. But the fact is that most of them recommend K&B's Head first for SCWCD, and for design patters topic, SCWCD study kit from Deshmukh (manning publications).
And for the second post, YES there is an indian edition available.
