Hi PoornimaHemant
Have you put the .tld files in the WEB-INF folder you will need these there for the mapping. I did notice that in the book it just says to copy the 2 files from Tomcat examples, but remeber these are custome tags so you also need the .tld files too. Hope that helps

Hi.. thanks for the reply.
But i am a little confused.
On the page number 434 of HFSJ its mentioned that you need to include the JSTL "jstl.jar" file in the WEB-INF folder of your application having JSTL tags. I did that.
Even after that do i need a ".tld" file?
That would be for which tags/uri?
My JSP file has only one uri in it and that is "http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" and i am only using the forEach tag of the core JSLT library.

please help

thanks in advance.

Hi
Yes you do need the tld's for these if you just copy the tld's from where ever you copied the JSTL jar's from and put them in your WEB-INF folder the issue will be resolved, Rember that although that the uri is real it dont really go anywhere apart from the uri mapping in the tld file. I had a look at the errata for the book but i could not find anything on this issue. I think it should say you also need to copy the tld files as well as the two it does state.
