How useful is SCWCD

I have just studying for the SCWCD exam and was wondering if people who have passed the exam found it useful.

At the moment I am finding it quite interesting and useful because the company I works for makes Web Apps using Struts, so it is very relevant to me.

My final wondering is this certification held in as much esteem as the SCJP?

I've found it very useful, having very few experience in web development. It helped me understand how web applications work, and helped a lot to understand how other frameworks (like Stuts/Spring) work.

I found it iseful too. Before exam I had no understanding about Listeners, Declarative Security etc. Now I have perfect knowledge about DD.

Preparation forced me to understand all the topics deeply.

SCWCD enforces a structured exposure to the basics of j2ee web applications. Once you know the basics, you will learn to appreciate the technology in a better way. So I suggest you to take up the exam.

I had some exposure to web apps before I started preparing ....

But now as I prepare, I have realized only 30% of the whole thing ....

So getting a SCWCD cert. definetly helps ...
