import javax.servlet.*; import javax.servlet.http.*; import java.io.*; public class TestMethod extends HttpServlet{ public void doPost(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException,IOException{ PrintWriter out=response.getWriter(); out.println("<html><body>"); out.println("getHeader(User-Agent):"+request.getHeader("User-Agent")); out.println("getMethod(): "+request.getMethod()); out.println("getServerPort(): "+request.getServerPort()); out.println("getServerPort(): "+request.getRemotePort());//error out.println("getServerPort(): "+request.getLocalPort());//error out.println("</body></html>"); out.close(); } public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponseresponse) throws ServletException,IOException{ doPost(request,response); } }
In above code the compiler is not able to find following methods.
request.getLocalPort()
request.getRemotePort()
I am not able to understand why.
Thanks

Hi
These methods since 2.4 (not 2.3)
Are you sure that you are using 2.4
