I cleared SCWCD 1.4 today with a score of 94%

I had exposure to Servlets/JSP when I started my preparation. I think once you have completed reading HFSJ once, you will require nearly 100hrs to revise all your stuff, give all the necessary mock exams and coverup all the
chinks in your prep.

I got 70 questions ... I guess Sun is keeping 1 question for the purpose of evaluation of that question and it does not count towards the final score

I used the following material for my preparation
1) HFSJ - This book rocks . Specially if you are a newbie. The topics are
explained in an easy to understand manner. However like all
certification books , it leaves out certain details that are not
important from the point of view of examination but are critical
to the completion of the topic. Anyways , this is one of the best
books around for SCWCD.

2) Miklai Zaikin Notes - Wonderfull notes . Makes up for the missing details
in HFSJ . A must read !!

I referred to Servlet/JSP specs if I needed to lookup a point in greater detail .I also found "Java Server Pages" by Hans Bergsten provided a complete coverage for JSP tech. A useful reference book

Mocks
=====
1) Javaranch - 95%
2) Jdiscuss - 90% + in all the exams
3) Demo version of Enthuware and Whizlabs - 80%
4) Quesations from HD books
5) Sun sample questions for SCWCD
6) Final mock exam from HFSJ - 70%

So , even if you score low on Final mock exam from HFSJ , do not panic .
Keep a cool head .

Apart from what has been pointed out previously by other ranchers, please
also study Exporting variables from Custom Tags

I had a hard time getting my exam scheduled . I had nearly lost all hopes of
giving my exams before going on my week long vacation next week. Now , I can relax fully and have lots of fun .

Thanks to all the follow ranchers ( specially Satau )for replying to my queries and for posting yours . You all were a source of inspiration to me.

Thanks again ....
