If you've got a decent score in Whizlabs, I think it should be ok.
The result at HFSJ's final mock might be deceptive. Many ranchers complain it's way to difficult, and finally have a +20% at the exam.

Did you take your time to do it, or did you finish it "quick and dirty" ?

Hi Gowher,

I also heard a lot about this final mock of Head First. Many Ranchers complaint that its a bit tough I also fear to give this exam before my final exam schedule.

To the Authors:

If the final exam is so tough, and I read that it doesnt have the number of correct answers marked so instead of motivating a person it de-motivates the candidate before the final exam? What should we do in such case? I am also planning to give the exam on this Saturday as I will give the final exam on Monday? Let us know about this.

I do not think that you should be shocked, it is a hard one - too many possible answers, very few clues - and I really hope the real exam is much more easier.

I guess that you can get at least + 10% on real exam... it is little bit easier than HFSJ mock exam. some people get +20% but before you go to exam I guess you should try to read more and repeat parts that you find hard...

Hi Siddharth,

Well, the mock exam was intended to be hard. However, we do not intend for there to be errors in the mock exam. If you find errors, please post them to O'Reilly's errata page.

Regards,
Bryan

I've heard the add 10 pts. rule, and occasionally the add 20pts. rule. I would say that if you're score is in the 40% range on the HFSJ final mock you're cutting it pretty close

I would want to get that number up into the 60% neighborhood, at least, before tackling the real exam.

good luck!

Thanks a lot Bryan and Bert for listening to our Concerns. I am a BIG fan of your book so I was just worried whether the final mock may turn out to be a dissapointment before exam.

But now I am quite relieved after your posts. Thanks again for posting.
