DIGEST auth-method

does TOMCAT supports DIGEST security method?? I am unable to athenticate my code if I put the method as DIGEST, although it is going fine with BASIC.

Even I'm unable to get DIGEST to work with Tomcat 5....only BASIC and FORM would work with Tomcat

That's weird, it should work.
Which precise version of Tomcat 5.X.X are you both using ?


SCJP 1.4, SCWCD 1.4, SCBCD 1.3, SCBCD 5

DIGEST is optional for both HTTP and J2EE container.

Hi Celinio,

Kindly help by telling the way 2 use DIGEST method. Even I am having same Tomcat version with XP and window 2003 server as OS..

If I were you, I would look for known bugs regarding your version of Tomcat, and see if one is related to the authentication mecanism, especially the DIGEST method.
