Hi guyz,
A lot of thoughts are poppin' up in my mind as I compose this story of my success in this examination.....Things like registering in this forum 5 weeks back, layin' my hands on the gem called Head First Servlets & JSP book by Kathy & Co., interacting with fellow ranchers and a lot of other things....To be honest, this is one of the most friendly technical forums I've ever encountered(credit goes to all of you out there)....I want to thank each one of you -- Kathy, Bryan, Bert, Marc, Ulf, Marcus, Mikalai, Celinio, Sreeraj, Gowher, Ali, Niranjan, Manikandan, Siddharth, Satou, Renu, Prabhu, Pallavi and a lot many people(unfortunately I don't remember all the names--please take no offence for that)--all of you have contributed a lot to my understanding of J2EE concepts to a great extent through constant interactions....I owe a major portion of my success to all of you.
I started preparin' for the examination on November 08....I had absolutely no idea about Servlets and JSPs prior to that, but from that day onwards I worked real hard towards this goal....I finished reading the HFSJ book twice in 6 weeks(thanks to the wonderful book that Kathy,Bert and Bryan had written--I guess very few people would have any doubts regarding the concepts after reading this book).....as I was going through the book, the constant interactions with fellow ranchers on Javaranch helped me a lot to understand the concepts completely....I went through the API docs and specifications(all 3) as and when required....I got the Enthuware Mock and appeared for 4 tests in 2 days...obtained scores of 66%, 79%, 84% and 81%.....appeared for the HFSJ mock and obtained 74%...finally I got fed up of takin' the mock tests and decided to go for the REAL thing....I failed to utilize the remaining Enthuware mock exam due to lack of patience....But I'm all happy now....not because of a great score....but because I'm a Sun Certified Web Component Developer now....and that's what matters most to me....
Thanks to all of you once again....I'll stick on to this forum....it's real cool

Thanks guyz....I've not decided yet about which one to take up next....I wnated to go for SCJD but I heard that it takes a real long time....but I'm still interested....as for SCBCD, that's for J2EE 1.3.....the point is I'm lookin' for a job....it's only after I join a company that I'll come to know what it requires.... the Beta version of SCBCD is already out I guess....so let's give it some time.....what about you ranchers...what say ya?

HFSJ is a very good book to start with, especially if you don't have any previous knowledge about servlets and JSPs
