Yes it's true and this is what i wanted after a 3 months preparation. As i said eariler also that i work as a software engineer in a MNC ,i really had to struggle a lot for balancing my professional and personal value additions. But i did not loose heart and at last i did it.

Though i have a 2 yrs of J2EE exp,in the real exam it hardly counts.Becoz nowadays we all work with IDE's and improved framework rather than ancient MVC model.

Ok now about the exam...it was not tough i would say...but tricky...and really man you have to read every question atleast twice to get the real meaning. Some questions on tagHandler was real tricky.I got 65 correct out of 69.

Still i feel i am not a Pandit/Guru but would like to give you my humble suggestions to all the aspirants. Here are some of my success mantras:

1)
Read HFSJ at least thrice and tell yourself that though it is called a bible of SCWCD,it does not always tell you the truth."To Human Error"...and this is true in case of the authors of this book too.

Personally i feel some information regarding listeners(like invocation and registration order) are not clearly explained.

2)Clear your doubts with a little MVC setup in tomcat after you finish reading the book...go through the specs if necessary.

3)Make sure you are able to code without seeing the semantics from the book. This will help you removing errors occurred for caps and non-caps.

4)Go for trusted Mocks only.I strongly recomend jdiscuss stuffs.Spend a little more(Specially now when 70% discount is going on) on whizlabs simulator. This one is a real good stuff and will give you a feel for the exam.

5)Take the Final mock of HFSJ.

By the way,i got 65% in this.So +20 did not work for me.Do not get dishurtend by the result from this mock xam.Always think positively.

6)Finally and most importantly...have a mindset throughout your preparation process to gain the knowledge not the marks.
After all,at the end of the day a pass is a pass.

All the best to all aspirants from my side.

Thanks....<br />babun

First of all i am a male member of this forum... .Neways...no pblem..."There is nothing in the name..."

See first thing is you have to be +ve in life.God always keeps good things for everybody's life. You too will get it when time will come. Now for the time being you have to do some net practice...to make urslef ready whenever a chance is available.

Personally whatever industry exp i have...according to me certifications never helps in getting salary hikes...but it does help in getting a job while you will be interviewed.C'mon buddy!Cheer up!Go for this and prove yourself.I also got 73% in SCJP.So what....?

Remember bill gates quotes "Life is unfare..better get used to it".I firmly blv you will get success.

Hey Arunava Bhattacharya
nice to read your post....
and congratulation......

i would rather say..prepare for the next cetfication...crake it .
and guide us in same ways......

if possible make one more impression by puttin more light on critical areas...in SCWCD...
tricky points...safe points...fear which you feel during exam etc. etc.

reply if possible.i know you are busy......but ..

Congrats...

I am preparing using Hanumanth Deshmukh book, does anyone know if the Review questions after each chapter are of the same complexity as the real exam ??

Cheers,
Ram
