Hi, I installed tomcat5.0 on win2000 machine.I set JAVA_HOME properly. When I run startup file Its giving me an error as
The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined This environment variable is needed to run this program Using CATALINA_BASE: D:\bala\jakarta-tomcat-5.0.30 Using CATALINA_HOME: D:\bala\jakarta-tomcat-5.0.30 Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: D:\bala\jakarta-tomcat-5.0.30\temp Using JAVA_HOME: windows cannot find '-Djava.endrosed.dirs=' make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
but Its working fine on win-xp machine...what would be the problem? Please give me a solution as soon as possible. [ February 12, 2007: Message edited by: Boobalan Jegathesan ]

I set JAVA_HOME properly
what makes you think so ? How did you set JAVA_HOME ? Open a command prompt, type SET, and check that JAVA_HOME is really displayed.
