Got this question from the Hanumant Singh book:

What are the benefits of using the Transfer Object pattern? (Select two)
a The type of the actual data source can be specified at deployment time.
b The data clients are independent of the data source vendor API.
c It increases the performance of data-accessing routines.
d It allows the clients to access the data source through EJBs.
e It allows resource locking in an efficient way.

I could pick (c) as one of the answers, but which is the other benefit and why.

Maybe d It allows the clients to access the data source through EJBs.?

By using Transfer Objects, so it is possible to do transfer data across networked tiers (client tier - ejb tier - data source).

Correct me if I am wrong.

The correct answer is
f) This question is horribly written and will make you worse off in your studies.

It was because of garbage like this that I wrote PeabodyOnScwcdPatterns.
