A JSP page is opened in a particular Session. A button is present in that JSP page onclick of which a new Window gets opened.
(a) The Session is not valid in the new Window
(b) The Session is valid in the new Window

The new page participates in the same session, assuming the parent page participating in a session.

Guess am a little lost

If cookies enabled, then The Session is valid in the new Window.
if cookies are disabled and url rewriting is used, then The Session is valid in the new Window.
If cookies are disabled and url rewriting is NOT used, then The Session is not valid in the new Window

Nothing was mentioned in the above question, in that case, what are the assumptions made?

Also, is my understanding right?
