POST is considered idempotent by the HTTP1.1 spec (Page 114 at the bottom of the page).
POST is not idempotent (Page 116).
Which one is TRUE?
As far as I know POST is not idempotent. Correct me if am wrong.

I think Post is not Idempotent it will defnitely change the data.

Check the errata on this one, its registered as a mistake.

POST is not idempotent.
Think 'POST', think 'update' - you're changing things on the server, so definitely NOT idempotent.

POST is not idempotent..

On page 115 (diagramatically) and page 116, they have clearly
stated it as a Header line..
Check that out..

Except POST, all other methods are idempotent..

Yes, POST is NOT idempotent. Remaining all are Idempotent.

Thnx a lot. I got it n fixed it in my mind that POST is the only non-idempotent method of all HTTP methods. Thnx again.
