This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Personally I'd say that the Head First Servlets & JSP book is both overrated and, sometimes, diffuse. It is a pity that I cannot point you to a better book, though, since this is the only one I have read and I do not intend to spend more money on another SCWCD book. If I were to do it over again, I would settle for the description of the exam contents, as given by Sun, the specification documentation (JSP, JSTL and Servlet specification documents - all free) and the resources available on internet. Another advice from me would also be to write a lot of code, which is the best way to learn coding!
