doubts in distributable environment

hi,
I migrated session from one JVM to another JVM.Is we have separate servletContext object per JVM.I have a confusion in that area please anybody clear this.

Context attributes are local to the JVM in which they were created. That's why you should not use ServletContext attributes to share information between servlets. Refer to SRV.3.4.1 in the spec for more info on context attributes in a distributed container.

3.2 says "In a distributed container, the default ServletContext is non-distributable and
must only exist in one JVM.". So can I assume destributed application = destributed container?
