All ,

When I have

everything works ok . When ArithmeticException is genereated in my Test.jsp , The response is coming from ArithmeticExceptionGenrerated.jsp

But if I put both of the following in DD , i always get the response from
ExceptionGenrerated.jsp . This is happening even in the case of ArithmeticExceptions . THis is not What I expected for ArithmeticExceptions ( Refer HFS&JSP by page 460 B&K&B)

I am using TomCat 6.0.14

i have faced the same problem..
is it like <exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type> is a catch-all defined in the DD ?

AnyOne Please explain Superclass SubClass relationship in the <exception-type.
Is it similar to exception catching in Java?
