Hello there,
i am having a problem in deploying srvlets.
My problem is when i am creating a folder name ch1 in

C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\ch1

And then in ch1 i copied web-inf folder from
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\servlets-examples\WEB-INF
and paste in my folder and then put my class file in classes folder and then edit web.xml
but when i am deploying its giving not finding servlet 404 error

Please tell me every step how to do

Thanks

Try to create a WAR file (which is a jar file but with extension war) paste the war file in webapps, it should work.

using the Jar command.
or if you are using an IDE such as Eclipse then right click on the project and choose export and follow the procedure.
