Welcome to JavaRanch.

There's rarely a single best of anything. The http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScwcdLinks page lists a few books people have found useful over the years. The http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScwcdFaq page will also be useful for your studies.

IMHO Head First Servlets & JSP is probably the best book for cramming for the exam if you need to take it quickly.

BUT it's style may be grating for some, and you will need to suppliment it with other books, mocks, or specifications if you want a high score as it's breadth is lacking in some areas.

Charles Lyons book is IMHO more thorough but works you harder, and he's a regular on here so should be supported.

There are also plenty of other worthy books (read through the reviews on this site) that will cover the topics necessary.

HTH - Rufus.

Hi,

I find HFSJ interesting. Will continue to work with that.
