hello to all friends, I am happy to announce that i cleared SCWCD1.5 exam on 1 oct, with 86% (60 out of 69).Here is my preparation recipe.. 1. Read HFSJ 2 times.Really good book to have concept stick to your brain cells. But I think mock exam at the end is not at all close to real one.The real exam is not that tough.I never calculated my overall score there (because i know i got more wrong than right) but read and understand explanation for all Q and ans. That really help. 2. Then switch over to Mikalai Zaikin notes and Enthuware tests (scores 73 to 86 in 1 to 7 ,65 in the 8).Read explanation for right and wrong ans throuly. 3. Just 1 day before the exam read Fedrick notes and they are really good. You have whole of HFSJ book in a concise form. I am really thankful to Sun education for providing the vocher at half the price in India,Oreilly press for the cheap edition for asia and if that not enough i got Enthuware full version at half the price from enthuware site(there is a link at bottom like for indian customer only ) and to this wonderful site javaranch. Thanks

Hi, Congrates.... I need some suggestion from you, i am planning to take SCWCD 1.5, could you give some more details like, Is Head First Servlet and JSP in enough to get through the certification, is any other good material you have studied other than you have mentioned( Could you please share with me, if any other notes that you have prepared) Thanks in advance, Kiran.

Thanks you all for congrating. No, apart from these i didnot studied anything.HFSJ is a good book but if you study some more notes available on javaranch faq that will be really good because you did not know which method /return type/concept they will test you on.HFSJ cannot cover each thing. Apart that i recommend to go for enthuware so You can apply what you have studied. and do check my new signature...
