HFJS problem in running JSTL

In HFJS for running the JSTL tag it has advice to copy the jstl jar files from jsp-examples/WEB-IN/lib/

I have copied the jstl jar file and pasted it in my web-app under WEB-INF/lib directory .Now in the book the taglib directory is written as

<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core"%>

I know uri is a unique identifier and is used to search for that uri identifier in the TLD having that exact same name.

My question is should i have to make a TLD file as well and if i have to what should i write in it .

Please advice me as soon as possible.

Varun ,

I hope you need to register those things in web.xml.

You also put standard.jar in your lib directory, didn't you ? Check this (JSTL 1.1)

My question is should i have to make a TLD file as well and if i have to what should i write in it

No, you don't have to. The TLDs are already included in one of the JARs, and automatically found by the container. You don't need to touch web.xml either.
