Hi,

I find this site very useful and helpful for people who wants to sit for certification exam as well as general suggestions.

This Nov I'd like to sit for SCJP1.5 exam (hopefully I'll pass it ).
I'm following the K&B book.

My question is after passing the exam is it okay to prepare for SCWCD?
I am having more than 3 yrs of experience in Java out of which 2.5 years is in web development(i.e. using Jsp,servlet, tomcat etc.).

Please help me to find the link containing the syllabus and books recommended for the exam so that I can jump into preparation right away after the SCJP exam..

Thanks a lot for your help...

Regards,

Yes. I will recommend that for you !!!
The book of choise is the O'Reilly Head First Servlets and JSP 2nd edition.
(you can cover the pictures and read ahead )
I began to prepare the SCWCD with the one of Mc-Graw-Hill but it was a horror, full of mistakes and leaks of informations.

SCWCD and then attack the SCBCD.

Don't attack it too much, or they won't let you into the test site (or out of it).

Here is a link to a thread i opened: SCWCD: the story

As i said i only read the "McGraw Hill-SCWCD Study Guide 310-081" and "O'Reilly-Head First Servlets and JSP 2nd Edition" and after 7 chapers, i had to change the book. (it was a torture with the first book).
I do not know about other books really.

You should look for some complete mock-exams and repeat them several times until you feel sure with the material. And if you have many errors on some topic, reread the topic and make a lot of tests.
