Welcome to the new forum to discuss the Sun Certified Java Associate certification.

With the Beat exam coming up soon, we have created this forum so that you can begin discussing any questions, mock questions, links to valuable study sites and materials. You know just like the other Certification forums.

Good Luck everyone.

Hi Mark,
I'm wondering the purpose of placing this certification on the road map.
What is the purpose of this certification...?though i have gone through the objectives...the reason i could derive out of it..is perhaps Sun wants to certify developers with overall knowledge about Java Applications and OOP awareness....

Plz clarify....

Thank You...

This exam was requested by Sun Japan, for them they have lot of college graduates, and the businesses want an exam to test the overall knowledge of Java, and this exam fulfills that requirement.

its for someone like me....fresh out of school with no "proof" they know how to code if they only recieved a high-level education in college but still might of been profiecient in java. Also its great for someone like me (double whammy) who is looking to transfer back/to a new field like IT and needs to prove the basic knowledge.
