Dear Mano,
For SCJA, as we are the first takers, it may be too early to expect mocks / study guides. I went thru the exam objectives and noted that SCJA is something of a "Sun Certified Junior Architect" kind of exam, its Sun Certified Enterprise Architect - ( Architecture +
Patterns ) + Fundamentals of all other Sun
Java Certifications ( SCJP +
SCJD + SCBCD + SCWCD + SCMAD + SCJDWS i.e. J2SE +
J2EE + J2ME ) + Basics of Algorithms + +- ++--
Section 1,3) OOPS, Java-OOPS ----------------- SCJP
Section 2) UML -------------------------------
SCEA Section 4) Algorithims ----------------------- General Computing
Section 5) Java development ------------------ SCJP
Section 6) Java Integration technologies ----- SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SCBCD, SCEA, SCMAD
Section 7,8) Java Client Server Technologies - All Sun Java certs
This exam tests in breadth of java's coverage as platform
independent language, not depth in any particular Java technology.
Hence I would rely on trying to use the study materials already
available on the web for the above labels, organised by SCJA topics at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sun_Certified_Java_Associate/links/ As you completed SCJP, SCJA should not be too difficult. Read the JavaRanch discussion
SCJP versus SCJA Regards,
Mahesh
