Night and day! SCEA is for very experienced developers ("architects!") of enterprise applications. SCJA is for entry-level, just-out-of-college, beginners with a few months of Java programming experience and a very high-lebel understanding of a wide range of Java topics. It's all in the last 2 letters: "ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT" vs. "Java Associate" HTH, -dave
