Is passing percentage is 68%. How do u know? Will sun post the marks statement? But in other certifications like SCJP, we dont get marks in the certificate right? How do we see the marks of SCJP inside certmanager apart from the report given by Prometeric? Anyway.. Celebrate.....

I just saw the result in my account PASSED!!! hahahahahehehehe....very happy after a long wait and now I've to wait to see my percentage. One more certification in my account...i feel gr8 which I did it within 18 days(preparation time to scja)

i still with problems to access TO the firts times users how you see the results?
the site always send me a: "We could not find a user meeting the specified criteria. Please review the criteria and try again."

waiting for scrore... where i can get the scrore, last time when i took scjp, the score for each section is given straight from prometric after the test.

This was my first exam,
I can see only Grade: Pass, is it enough. I mean what did you all see in your results, also from past few days I was hearing that results on prometric may be wrong, so is this reliable. I mean many people said that in scjp5.0 prometric passed but in sun failed so I mean is it possible that this result could be wrong? I just want to be sure. The exam is great~~~
However, the number of questions is a bit less for 2 hours, and the passing rate is low as well.
In fact, even for the same passing rate, I prefer 65-70 questions with 1.5 hours.

The exam is quite alright for the entry-level, testing Java knowledge in a broad way... Even experienced folks can also be tested for such a broad knowledge by this examination as well...

I Passed as well... Thx a lot to all the guys at the ranch
- IMHO this exam is needed to get people onto the Sun certification path. It will give students an intermediate exam to aim at, before SCJP.
As for the exam itself, I enjoyed it, but think that I'm a bit out of date. I used my OMT and BOOCH knowledge for UML, didn't get the templates in java 1.5 (have these in C++).

I liked being given the motivation to learn the overall pieces available for Java. I thought the exam was rather easy, but, I trust that you considered many factors to come up with the 68%, and, I don't know which questions made the final cut. :-) Time will tell, as paying customers take it. That's the best way to judge.
The first version of anything always needs adjustments!

I Passed too . This Forum is amazing . Bert Bates and all -Thank you very much for providing those UML and SCJA related materials. It was really great and helpful. I am in Telecom domain in Product verification. Java is my favorite programming language and java technologies provide solutions to every enterprise .
Being SCJP I prepared for a week and had taken this exam. Without this forum this would not have been possible.

On i7lp site inside history, I can see 2 certification event Sep 2, 2005 Jul 13, 2005 Certification Events Certified in Sun Certified Associate for Java Platform, Standard Edition Details Sep 2, 2005 Jul 13, 2005 Certification Events Enrolled in Sun Certified Associate for Java Platform, Standard Edition Details Sep 2, 2005 Jul 13, 2005 Exam (310-019)Sun Certified Associate for Java Platform, Standard Edition, Exam Version 1.0 - Passed
inside details in Exam (last event mentioned above) I see Grade as Pass
Is it what we get.
Is this result final and trustworthy I am only asking because in this forum I have read that results at prometric are not final some people passed but failed so is this result final or wait for officical email or confirmation.

Hi Bert,
I think you were right, I think we pushed up the pass mark too high by taking this test. 68% is pretty high isn't it, although SCDJWS has the same pass mark.
