Hi all.

I have passed.yahoooooooooooooooooooo.

Just wanted one clarification. I remember that in the prometric site the exam no was 311-019 but the i7 says 310 - 019 but the name remains the same ie Sun Certified Associate for Java Platform, Standard Edition, Exam Version 1.0. Can you all clarify this???

What ever it is... I have passed.

Hey Bert…Regarding the Exam…

It was really a nice experience. It was not that tough as SCJP, but still, it was good. I have written so many comments during the exam itself.

But I strongly recommend not to include questions like

1) Does the class named abc exists in xyz package? / like in which package Date class is defined… some thing like that.
2) What does HTML mean?
And such very simple questions should be removed.

Apart from that, interface questions were too good and even UML. I liked the Drag and drop. It really impressed me. I was expecting more questions of that type, but I think I got only 2 such questions.

Over all it’s a GOOD EXAM, and when the real exam is released, it should be made bit tough.

That’s it from my side….

Thanks a lot.

Bye

Hi this was my first exam from discussions I have come to know that it is 310-019 we get SCJA not SCJA beta (311-019) even thought we gave beta exam it is considered SCJA not beta. People who gave SCJP5.0 beta have mentioned this in this forum, that they gave scjp5.0 beta but got certified as scjp5.0.

Anyways in i7 what do you see as results,
in my history I see
two certification events one exam event Grade: Passed
and in certification progress link I see SCJA filled with Blue
when I clicked it shows Certification status Pass at top.

Is this enough, I mean is this final because I heard prometric results are not trustworthy.

What will happen now when we will get certificate, I hope that Grade: Pass means I will get certificate.

Hi.

This question should be asked in JOBs forum. Not here.

Anyway I'l answer this question. But if you have more question on this, visit javaranch jobs forum and you'll get more replies there.

Definitely YES. Chances of getting a call for the interview is more. But then getting a job depends on how you answer the questions.

If you are SCJP or what ever and if you are not able to answer the simple questions..... then no one can help.

Lets not hope that.....
Think positive You will get a job.
All the best.
