I was wondering if Sun provides a benefit to university students who want to take the exam. Does anyone have information about this issue?

There are obviously great benefits to being SCJA certified, but I guess what you are really looking for are discounts.

I don't know any formal discounts that Sun provides, but from time to time Sun does run promotions, from free beta exams, to free exams for people attending their conferences. Check the Sun website from time to time and you might get lucky.

Ok, sure. ^^ I was looking for a discount. Thanks for your advice, but I want to take the exam as fast as possible as I read your book and will now bridge the time between now and the exam with your mock exams.

Manuel....you should check out the sun academic alliance. It is offered to some Universities and Colleges.

I believe you get discounts for SJCA and SCJP. In addition they do offer some of the web based training from SUN.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
