A small beware, for SCJAstudents such as myself. After using the UCertify demo download for a while (www.ucerfity.com) for the SCJA exam I decided to splash out the 25 and get the whole thing, after all its an investment in my future (or so I believed). However, whilst it may be a good tool for general certification practice, there is (in my opinion) far too much questions based upon areas outside that which sun, requires of SCJA. For example, there is alot of detailed knowledge required for JSP creation (such as several methods) and more than a broad knowledge of JME as well. Tthere are some areas which I am uncertain fit into the objectives of the SCJA, such as the core components of the java.lang package (java.lang.ref, java.lang.reflect) or the methods of the enum (java.lang) such as a requirment to know that the oridnal() method returns the index of an enum constant. (easy enough to learn, but is this a component of the SCJA). Oof course it is more than possble that I need to revisit the Sun exam objectives for SCJA, but from some of the literature (such as Camerons book) appears not to delve so deeply into things such as JSP, Enum, and JME. Ii stand corrected if there is a kind soul out there who rights my wrongs, but for now beware, or at least, be wary!

For my next feat, I will require a volunteer from the audience! Perhaps this tiny ad?
