Hi friends, I am new to JavaRanch actually i am planning to write SCJA exam, now i am in boston USA and i am not working, actually i am planning to write SCJA exam in december, i have some doubts please help me.
1)How many months do i need to prepare to get good percentage in SCJA?
2)What are the books do i have to prepare?
3)Is there any new version in SCJA? or Sun Certified Associate for the Java Platform, Standard Edition, Exam Version 1.0 (CX-310-019) is the only one?
4)In sun website if i purchased SCJA exam voucher do they send me any books? Are those books really helpful to me?
5)when i am purchasing SCJA exam voucher do i need to fix the exact appointment date? or is there any validity for that exam voucher?

i bought my voucher from the sun site. It must be used within 1 year. To use voucher, you go to protmetric site and find a testing center. The testing center will offer dates for like the next 8 weeks or so. You can't sign up like 6 months ahead of time. Just a few weeks before the actual test.
