1.) Is it possible to run 2 different applications on the same computer, but in different JVM's???
2.) If this is possible, how do you ensure that any two applications are running in the same JVM??
Thanks for any clarification on this subject.

Jay,
1) Sure, each time you enter "java myprogram" at the command prompt a new JVM is started.
2) If you define as an application as a Java program with a main() method, then you can only run one app in a JVM. You can, however, start multiple identical threads from within one app, in which case the threads will all be running in the same JVM.
