Hello everyone, I would appreciate if anyone could educate me on some of the study guides available in the market for SCJD exam. I also like to know the topics covered in the exam. In otherwords all the stuff that I should know to take the exam. Thanks in advance, srinivas
I haven't even started to dare moving towards this yet (I only got my SCPJ2 cert last week, and haven't yet gotten my certificate or pin), but... I seem to recall that Complete Java2 Certification Study Guide has literally about half the book on the SCDJ2 exam. You might take a look at it - it's a heavy book, but worth it. ------------------ Theodore Jonathan Casser Sun Certified Programmer for the Java2 Platform

I forgot to ask if that book is for SCJD or SCJP. The title sounds like its a general certification book. I would like to know what exam it emphasises on. Thanks, srinivas

The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide is by Roberts, Heller, and Ernest. It's often referred to as the RHE book on this site. It covers both the Programmer's and Developer's exams (about 50/50 coverage). The SCJD section also includes a sample assignment to work on.

Is the sample project any good? Does it prepare you for the real exam?

Thanks for the info Angela. How good is the book. Have you had a chance to read it. I used Khalid Mughal for my programmer certification. I have heard good things about RHE but i would appreciate if you or someone who has read it shed some light as if its worth buying to prepare for the Developer's certification. Thanks in advance, srinivas
