use of tab key in table

I was just testing my gui and found out that once the focus is inside the table, you can't use any keys (keyboard) to go/return to the next item (ie button, textfield). I was thinking of allowing user to use my gui design without the use of mouse. Guys, do you think it is possible?
Can someone give some light or advise here?

Wouldn't you want to implement a key listener and take appropriate action upon TAB or arrow key input?
