Download Assignemtn more than once!!!!!!!

Hi, i downloaded my assignment a few weeks ago. I downloaded the file :-
Java2.jar.zip to my desktop....

the webpage was still open so i clicked on the link again and downloaded to "my documents" for good measure!!!.
i also made a shortcut to the target file, which is on my desktop right now. i can still download the assigment a few weeks later? !!! is this a bad thing?
Does anyone know if i should make sure the different "versions" i downloaded dont get mixed up and that i should only use the orgiingal one!!!
