If anyone has comments on the value of the JCert track, I would greatly appreciate their comments. Is the the Sun Certified Java Developer part of the JCert? I am a SCJP and would like to continue forward in the Java Realm and was wondering which direction to take. Also, I was wondering where to go to find material to study for the UML and OOAD portion of the JCert certificaiton?
Unfortunately, no - the developer's exam isn't part of jCert. Beyond the first level exams, you shift over to vendor-specific exams (such as WebSphere or JDeveloper at the next level). As for OOAD-UML, IBM has a list of suggested resources for studying at http://www-4.ibm.com/software/ad/certify/edu486a.html.
